HEY MAN, SURE!

Happiness begins within; sun in a storm,
It's the way you look at life; ill or calm.
The scene is as you view it my good friend,
It is on yourself that you must depend.
Death is part of life and dead is dead
No matter how it's done it's what we dread.
And love is not a moment passing by,
Nor that which briefly catches wanton eye.
Nor is it found there in a lover's bed,
Nor where self-sorrows are so often shed.
It all lives inside the spirit of the man
Where inner truth and attitude began.
For life was never meant to be a breeze
And the moon was never made of greenish cheese.
