JUST A SILLY SORT OF JOKE

I can choose to be angry for 'tis an emotion of my own,
But sometimes I can be angry when such rage I don't condone.
But even choosing to be angry is not a choice I make,
For the reason that requires it is the cause of this mistake.
'Twas the decision before my choosing that decided what would be,
I just responded with forced action though the culprit is hard to see.
You don't really have any choices and the ones you think you make,
Are really forced decisions based on another bloke's mistake.
Hell I didn't choose my missus mate, she had had me in her sights,
Long before I thought I chose her for her special culture and delights.
And the old bloke up in heaven who gave us all these choices to make,
According to some people (who have no choice for goodness sake)
Is up there on his pedestal just laughing at us stupid ignorant folk,
Because he knows that making choices is just a silly sort of joke.
