What wisdom into your head is put; is by event and time,
therein so scribed deep upon your brain like mine,
shall life's true quill no future scene describe,
that has not preceded present to be applied.
Son it is not my folly to punish your callow youth,
For oft the lie is buried in deceitful truth,
For lacking a wiser brain than you possess,
Is no good reason to cause you aggravated stress.
Indeed there are those some fools who would yet scorn,
The wrongs in youth not yet sown nor born,
By granting them a wisdom that is still unlearned,
With a callous contempt they surely have not earned.
That they go punished for simply being young,
By those who lack the ability to understand.
