LOVE IS NOT LOST

I know what I will die from; many do not know,
I have a fair idea how long it takes it will not be a blow.
Most people don't have a clue how long they might live,
So hang on to all they can before they start to share and give.
But I was giving long ago and sharing all I had,
True none of it was very much and it sometimes made me sad.
But to me the little gifts I gave that none could even see,
Amounted to a whole lot more than was ever given me.
I didn't complain I never have because the love you give away,
Is still around on the morrow as it is still around today.
It's never lost the love you give though sometimes at the time,
It seems that all the good you feel feels somewhat like a crime.
So what you give remember, though it sometimes seems so vain,
'Twill sprout like a flower in the Sun for someone else to claim.
