THE SACRED YOU

Some delight in forcing their repeat
That those rejecting scatter in retreat;
For most don't stand very strong alone,
As time and tide has often clearly shown.
But though in a crowd or singularly bereft
There is, for many, one who has not left;
Who stays there steadfast to the very end,
Who is a loyal and a precious trusting friend.
Look within, for it is inside yourself you'll find,
The greatest comrade who is always kind,
There to give you strength and real hope
That through your self belief you'll always cope.
The spirit of your life; the sacred you
That monitors every thing you choose to do.
