CHANGE AND TRUTH

We all mean well; but are we right,
If we think we are, tis positive sight,
But it never changes the angle of view,
To reveal what is wrong and what is true.
There is no wood where as a child I played,
But the Church still stands where I prayed,
And the quiet Avenue of lawn and pave,
Is a motorway now; and now I shave.
Change and education challenge right,
That has often become wrong over night,
That he who has not yet learned to bend,
Has a great deal yet to comprehend,
For man doth serve himself the best,
If in change and truth he doth invest.
