EVEN TO DEAF EARS

The King will speak; even to deaf ears,
And the one with the microphone will have his say,
And while the disbeliever disputes his fears,
He will be the first to run away.
The wealthy cannot leave their castles,
Lest the poor become rich overnight,
Their Greed creates many hassles,
And it's the poor rich they now have to fight.
And the wheel of time goes round,
And the pulse of life will beat,
And the relentless sun will pound and pound,
Until we all die from its merciless heat.
And that will be the end of that,
All swept carefully under the mat.
