BUTTERCUPS ARE YELLOW
|
All buttercups are yellow and smell nice,
Cats are cats and always mice are mice.
And truth is truth and never alters form,
Unlike the weather with its sun and storm.
Dead is dead and water we must drink,
And black is black and isn't very pink.
But what is love? Describe it if you will,
Paint belief, if you think you have the skill.
All in all, all that which we can see
Can, just by looking, help us to agree,
But that which is an image in the brain,
Divides our view and causes much disdain.
Yes buttercups are yellow and smell nice,
And cats are cats and mice are always mice.
