PEOPLE

A smile to the face; a knife to the back,
Deceitful and selfish; trust they do lack
Prejudice and spiteful; envious and rude,
Religiously biased; self centred and crude.
Is this a dog a mule or a cat;
Or perhaps a reptile or an absolute rat?
It might be a hedgehog a croc or a ram,
But no, I guess it's just an ordinary man.
If you find one a bit different please let me know,
And I'll scatter his seeds where ever I go.
Maybe at Christmas when they rest from their vice,
Pretending concern; being awfully nice
They might well remember they are not always right,
That sadness is caused by their arrogant delight.
