WHERE TRUTH LIES HIDDEN

Where the truth lies hidden, there is always doubt,
And the prisoner will speculate what lies without,
And mystery is a tool in the process of power
Designed to exploit those who tend to cower.
All beings search for a satisfying proof,
For the facts of existence; the unknown truth,
For to know the answers, what good is a God?
When we know what lies beyond the mortal sod.
For ransom loses value; promises, their effect,
That the power of the unknown we would confidently reject.
For lack of knowledge is the fodder that power feeds on,
Ignorance and fear in the revelation of truth would be gone.
Yes the truth must be hidden if we are to believe,
And happy are the souls that institutions deceive.
