Col,

I find such wisdom in your poetry and I feel so very privileged to be able to read it... I don't say thank you to you often enough... I would be so much poorer and my head so much more muddled without your fine words... and I mean that from my heart...l

I sometimes do indeed, I must disclose,
When you are silent that my weakness shows,
Allow a sadder thought to cross my mind,
(The desire to wallow in your words so kind).
For though I do not seek to gather such,
From those I love it counts so very much.
And we who hide behind a false facade,
Oft are by kindness forced to drop our guard,
And humbly mark ourselves as just the same,
As fellow folk who may have less to claim,
Yet have emotions and do harbour need,
Of kindly words on which to meekly feed.
For all who live enjoy from kindness gain,
For in its absence I've known the inner pain.
