WHERE THE CAP FITS

'Tis all from that which I seek not to find,
That doth impose itself upon my mind,
From which I derive the ingredients of my verse,
To become the lines I never once rehearse.
Though some might despise what my words imply,
Due to their own views of their own minds eye,
I pursue no criticism though some may object,
That by it they my meanings might reflect.
Some will see no doubt a familiar well known face,
That fits inside the elements that I trace,
But it can only be in the readers mind,
Where such an image can in truth be found,
And though 'tis one that may oft seem unkind,
The basis of such thinking must be sound.
