IF

If we could build a marble wall,
for all the soldiers lost,
In all the wars that men have fought,
at great and terrible cost,
It would probably reach around the Earth,
A dozen times or more,
For millions of soldiers over time,
Have lost their lives in war.
If every generation,
build monuments to their dead,
Then it's likely that the Earth will flood,
From the endless tears we shed.
That mixes with the wasted blood,
That all those warriors bled.
