TRANSITIONAL DEATH
|
Is Death a deep transition?
Who says that we will float?
We might start sinking lower
Or swim round in some moat?
Perhaps it's one great journey?
Perhaps it all just stops?
I'd rather spend time spooning
not floating like hard drops
of hail – a pelting-rain storm,
Those things come down so fast
In truth there is no telling
how long this world might last
So I will go on living
This time – it is our gift
And though I am not ready
From time to time I drift
Perhaps you will stay focused
In case I'm feeling lost
In turn, though Hell freeze over
You will not feel the frost
I'll make sure that the Blaze
is cooled off by the Breeze
At times, over protect you,
In case you start to sneeze
We might go quite some distance
We might just fade away
But as long as we are living
Let's make time for today
