IT'S DARK NOW

I know that it is dark now
But light will come
For you are with me
You stand by me in my hour of need
And listen to my cries

Though others have deserted me
And many have fled
I know you're always with me
Seeing me through the dark times
And now is no exception

Now is no lighter than before
But I see the illumination of your footsteps
And I follow in them
Knowing I am safe
And that you would never steer me wrong

Until the darkness clears
And the light returns
And I can breath clean air one more
And I am safe again
